The end of the road - DEATH

Source : NST

The tragic accident which claimed the lives of 3 young girls was brought to my attention by a friend, who studied in the same secondary school with them. At first, I thought it was a prank. Dying on your birthday ? Way to cool and certainly a good gimmick to get the attention.

Wrong.

As the news spread like wild fire, I busy googling hoping something would pop up. Indeed, the news were true. A Wira Aeroback had turned turtle on the Federal Highway. 3 girls died on the spot and the guy (driver) was admitted into the ICU.

It was weird reading the comments on Resh's profile. Birthday wishes turned into condolences. The guy's who kept the the account open, was subjected to ridicule and malicious messages. I think it's really important that the account was kept open, thus allowing friends from afar to share their thoughts and experiences with the rest.

Then comes along rumour mongers stating that the accident happened because the guy (driver) was drunk and another stating that he was trying to sms someone while driving. No one was present at the time of the accident, so can someone please explain HOW THE FUCK these stories come about ?

End of the day, the accident did happen and all those affected by it should be left alone for a few days to overcome their grief and gain their footings. Yet recently as soon as the guy regained his conscience, the Malay Mail or NST was already knocking on his ICU door. Pure rubbish. I bet even the police has more sense before conducting an inquiry. Maybe.

All I have to say is :
1. It sucks to die on your birthday. It sucks even more when you're young.
2. It mega-sucks when you're the only one ALIVE.

Personal Opinion :

If I was the driver and I was alive, I'll kill myself. I'll wake up and remove my life support system. Living with guilt is not worth it. I wish I died with them. My father always says this "Son, even if the car is a goner and you're dead, I'm not bothered. I've got your sister as backup. I just don't want other parents to be barking at me."

Just kidding.

My father though says that " You are always responsible for your passengers and you must be answerable if anything goes wrong."
