Since I'm in the mist of completing my Final Year Project (FYP), I thought why not share my experience with future final year students of MMU.
Let's list everything for convinience sake.
1. When selecting/ suggesting a topic, MAKE sure you understand it clearly. DO NOT think that it can be learned later. Understanding is the basis of the project.
2. Never undertake a title which you're not sure at all. NEVER
3. Do consult with seniors / lecturers/ engineers. It does not hurt to be stupid just this one time.
4. Always keep all files, sketches, fliers in a file. This would be helpful for the appendices section.
5. Start early on report. Even if lecturer does not insist on seeing a report in the first part, do type out something. Would be very useful during the second part.
6. Share with friends. Your friends will look out for your back as well. It's a mutual feeling.
7. Have fun !
Listings of topics according to difficulties :
1. Proving a theory
2. Modifying a certain theory
3. Team based projects
4. Designing a software & hardware
That's about it. Now back to completing my abstract.
